For individuals who want to feel better, work hard and enjoy the outdoors. During each 50 minute class, receive instruction and guidance under the watchful eye of a CORE trainer.  All fitness levels are welcomed, no matter if you are a seasoned workout person or have never worked out before!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>2-sessions of Bootcamps are being offered:</p>
<p><strong> Session 1:</strong> June 4th-July 14th</p>
<p><strong>Session 2:</strong> July 16th-August 25th</p>
<p><strong>Times:</strong> Classes run from 6:00-6:50am  Monday-Friday</p>
<p><strong>Where:</strong> <a href="http://www.ci.middleton.wi.us/City/Departments/lands/parks.htm">Lakeview Park</a> in Middleton</p>
<p><strong>Price:</strong> $144 for unlimited access to each 6-week session</p>

<p>This pilot will be a six-week program with four at-risk youth who will be required to required to participate in a pre-college curriculum and attend the LIGHT after-school academic program. We will be measuring not only physical performance but also goals, grades and overall outlook in order to track progress and evaluate the pilot.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Even though this is a very small sample size, we are hoping that  over the next six weeks we can show considerable improvement that will allow CORE to obtain the funding to really grow this program to involve a larger number of at-risk youth in the Madison community.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The CORE 30 Day Health Challenge in almost here and I know everyone wants more details so here they are:</p>
<p>Upon signing up at the front desk, you will receive a checklist for each of the four weeks. This sheet will have the different activities that you can receive points for completing. Those activities (along with a description) are:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Ate breakfast</em></strong></p>
<p>I ate a balanced meal within an hour of waking.  Two examples of a balanced breakfast include-  2 eggs cooked in coconut oil or butter, served with a piece of fruit OR 1/2 cup plain Fage Greek Yogurt with 1/2 cup fruit or 1/2 T local honey</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Ate a small snack between meals</em></strong></p>
<p>When I eat a small, balanced snack in between my meals, I feel so much better.  I don’t have sugar cravings, headaches, irritability or feel tired/sluggish in the afternoon.   I also make better choices on my lunch and dinner options, because I’m not so hungry.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Wore layers during training</em></strong></p>
<p>I switched from shorts to pants, a t-shirt to a long sleeve shirt, short socks to long socks, and maybe even added a base layer!  I also put my jacket back on before going outside into the cold, no matter if the temperature was 0 or 50.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Training session at CORE</em></strong></p>
<p>I came in and did a semi-private or personal training session with a trainer at CORE!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Took a CORE Studio Class</em></strong></p>
<p>I took a great class in the studio!  Maybe it was new to me, but I gave yoga a chance anyway!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Took a 10 minute walk outside</em></strong></p>
<p>I bundled up and took a nice walk outside in the fresh air.  Ideally, I did this before lunchtime, or anytime I was feeling stressed.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong><em>Attended one of Tracie’s classes</em></strong></p>
<p>I checked under the Events tab on <a href="http://www.itsyourplate.com/">www.itsyourplate.com</a> to find a class or talk that I was interested in attending!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><em><strong>Bonus of the Week</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong></strong></em>There will be a new week-long bonus each week for those of you looking to make a big change.</p>
<p>Bring your checklist into CORE for each of your workouts and we will move you around the 30 Day Challenge Game Board. Each time you pass GO on the game board, you will receive a prize. Prizes include: a free class in the CORE Studio, a dozen eggs from the CORE fridge and a 25 minute massage from Peak Performance Massage.</p>
<p>This is a great way to set a great foundation for our weight loss challenge in the summer. The challenge starts SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 19th; make sure you sign up right away!!</p>

<p>The goal of this challenge is to address the major areas of health and wellness (nutrition, movement and lifestyle) of our members while trying to establish a solid foundation for the upcoming seasons. By addressing these aspects of your life right now, you will set yourself up to achieve better results in our weight loss challenge this summer.</p>
<p>Each participant will receive a checklist that they will be able to use during the week. You will receive points for performing certain tasks and there will be small prizes (including free studio classes, CORE eggs, massages, etc) at certain point levels.</p>
<p>This is a great way to keep those New Year&#8217;s resolution going strong until spring! More details, including the checklist, will be available on Monday, February 13th. Make sure you sign up next week so that you are ready to go right away on February 19th!!</p>
