Andy Anderson founded CORE ATHLETIC in 2001 with best friend and business partner Chris Rudolph. Upon finding instant coaching success CORE ATHLETIC moved its operations from the Princeton West Club in Madison, Wi to its present locations on Deming Way (Park Bank/Aniu Building), and Forsythia St. (Keva Sports Center) in Middleton, Wi. Andy is passionate about coaching people at any level with any goal and takes his excitement and enthusiasm to the class room where he is the Director of Education for CORE’s Leadership Academy and Internship Program. He believes in the motto “give a man a fish, feed him for a day…teach a man to fish, feed him for a life time.” He holds a BS in Exercise Science where he graduated with Honors and currently is Certified as a Strength Coach through the NSCA (CSCS), a Holistic Life Coach through the Chek Institute (HLC 1), and a Metabolic Typing Advisor through Healthexcel (CMTA Level 1). He has also held previous certifications as an Olympic Lifting Club Coach 1 through USA Weightlifting Federation, and Health Fitness Instructor through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-HFI). Working together with some of the most elite strength coaches like Al Vermeil (former Head Strength Coach of the Chicago Bulls) Andy strives to create a training program that is based on cutting edge research, transforms any individuals’ goals, is easily reproducible, and can help people of all abilities and economic levels. Though highly passionate about fitness, sport, and wellness; there is no greater love in his life than wife Kate and daughter Grace. With whom he loves to spend every waking moment doing fun outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and camping.
